My recent stay at Hotel Olympia in Česká Lípa provided a blend of relaxation and adventure, albeit with a few drawbacks. The highlight was undoubtedly the sauna, which offered a serene escape after our day of exploring nearby Máchovo Lake and Bezděz Castle. While the hotel’s room features like free Wi-Fi and a flat-screen TV ensured our comfort, I found the breakfast options lacking, so I recommend venturing into town for a more satisfying meal. Though the hotel has seen better days and feels a bit overpriced for what it offers, its convenient location—just 500 meters from the railway station—made it easy for my travel companions and me to explore this charming area. While enhancements are certainly needed, those seeking a home base for local excursions might find their stay adequate, especially if they prioritize nature and wellness during their travels.
